China leads South Korea in using inkjet printing to produce OLED panels as industry leader

Chinese manufacturers are stepping up their efforts to develop the next generation OLED production technology-inkjet printing, and intend to surpass Korean factories and gain a leading position. 1 The current mainstream production technology of large OLED panels is white OLED developed by LGD, and inkjet printing is the next generation technology. Many Chinese factories spend money to develop inkjet printing OLED technology, want to skip the white OLED process, directly adopt the next generation technology. At present, Chinese factories can already produce smaller OLED surfaces with inkjet printing.

At present, Chinese factories can already produce smaller OLED panels with inkjet printing. TCL said that its Juhua Printing Display Technology (JuhuaPrintingDisplayTechnology) has developed a 31-inch 4KOLED inkjet printing technology. Juhua printing hand in hand with Tianma, CLP Panda and other Chinese factories to jointly develop. TCL is scheduled to acquire 11 generations of inkjet printing technology in 2019.
 
In addition, the Japanese factory successfully trial-produced 21.6-inch 4KOLED panels in JOLED2017, but the company is in financial difficulties and OLED mass production is unknown. South Korea is worried that if JOLED really mass-produces OLED, there will be a huge impact, and Chinese factories are eyeing JOLED covetously and intend to inject capital to obtain relevant technologies, which may surpass South Korea's factories and become the new leader in the industry.
